Final First Half Season Game Results and Player Highlights

 

July 17th Game Results:

World Wide Creations 13, Buccaneers 9

Don Walsh (made two great defensive plays in the outfield), Frank Zielinski and WP Holt Ellis each had 3 hits; Bob Haugstatter (HR and double), Bob Gotwald (double), Al Lombardo, Jack Dolan, Sonny Companick and Cliff Ellis each had 2 hits for WWC.  Bob Moore hit a triple; Tony Mamie, Carl Fario, Arvie Powell, Dick Lawrence, Lou Agilucci, Jerry Fishman and Rich Wagner each had 2 hits for the Bucs.

 

Renegades 9, Puss N' Boots 3

Ed Huett and WP Ron Elliott each had 2 hits; Bill Minder hit a triple and 3rd baseman Charlie Lauble made a sensational play for the Renegades.

 

July 14th Game Results:

Buccaneers 8, Puss N' Boots 0

Carl Fario and Arvie Powell each had 3 hits and Bill Fuller and John Salmon each had 2 hits in support of WP Steve Torok.

 

World Wide Creations 16, Renegades 3

Bob Gotwald (double) had 4 hits; Bob Haugstatter (HR), Cliff Ellis (double), Al Lombardo and Sonny Companick each had 3 hits in support of WP Hoyt Ellis.  Charlie Laube had 2 hits and Ron Elloitt a triple for the Bucs.

 

July 9th Game Results:

Puss N' Boots 11, World Wide Creations 10

Ted Kilkuskie singled in the game winning run for the 1st place Puss N' Boots with 2 outs in bottom of 7th inning.  Herman Mitchell 3 doubles; Al Avello (triple), Jim Mendick (double), Ray Givens (double), Ray Giberson, JohnSergas and Buck Schmitzer each had 2 hits in support of WP Bill Kauffman.  Bob Haugstatter and Bob Gotwald had 3 hits and Jack Dolan (double), Ron Chiorello, Don Walinski and Bob Nami each had 2 hits for WWC.

 

Renegades 10, Buccaneers 8

Charley Lauble 4 hits, Bob Turner and WP Jack Murphy each had 3 hits, Carl Fario (double) 2 hits and Jeep Davis double for 2nd place Renegades.

 

July 7th Game Results:

Al Lombardi (HR, double) and Ron Chiorello each had 5 hits; Bob Haugstatter (double), Frank Zielinski (triple) and WP Hoyt Ellis each had 4 hits for WWC.  Carl Fario 4 hits; Fran Schweiss (double, triple), John Salmon and Tony Tirencli each had 3 hits for the Bucs.

 

Renegades 15, Puss N' Boots 12

Ron Elliott (2 doubles) and WP Bill Fuller (double) each had 2 hits, Charlie Lauble triple and Jeep Davis double for the Renegades.  Herman Mitchell 3 hits, Dick Schuessler, Jim Mendick, Paul Oleyar, John Suntato, Ray Luer and Al Avello each had 2 hits for Puss N' Boots.

Herman Mitchell and Father Ted Mozes each had 4 hits; Paul Oleyar (triple), Bob Johnson and WP Bill Kauffman each had 3 hits and Dick Schuessler, Jim Mendick, Al Avello and Buck Schmitzer (double) each had 2 hits.

 

June 30th Game Results:

Bob Johnson 4 hits; Ray Giberson, Buck Schmitzer and John Suntato each had 3 hits in support of WP Ray Given.  Bob Haugstatter (triple) 3 hits, Bob Nami, Don Walsh and Cliff Ellis each had 2 hits for WWC

Joe Schnee triple; Charlie Lauble and Carl Marshall each had 2 hits in support of WP Jack Murphy.

 

June 25th Game Results:
Buccaneers 4, World Wide Creations 3

Jerry Fishman singled in the game-winning run in the top of 7th inning.  Tony Mamie, Carl Fario, Bob DuPreau, Rich Wagner, Richie Zengolewitz and Ralph Rogers each had 2 hits in support of WP Steve Torok.  Don Walsh, Bill Kale and Hoyt Ellis each had 2 hits for WWC.

 

Puss N' Boots 15, Renegades 1

Herman Mitchell (2 triples) and Ray Giberson each had 3 hits; Ray Luer (double), John Sergas, Bob Johnson, Al Avello and WP Bill Kaufman each had 2 hits and Dick Schuessler a double.

 

June 23rd Game Results:

Puss N' Boots 9, Buccaneers 5

John Suntato (double) 3 hits; Jim Mendick (HR), Buck Schmitzer (double) and Herman Mitchell each had 2 hits for Puss N' Boots.  Arvie Powell (2 doubles), Jack Curran, Bob DuPreau, Ralph Rogers, Lou Angaulsi and Rich Zengolewitz each had 2 hits for the Bucs.

Frank Zielinski (HR) and Bob Haugstatter each went 4 for 4; Al Lombardo, Bob Nami and Sonny Companick each had 3 hits including doubles and Jack Dolan 3 hits in support of WP Hoyt Ellis.  JoeDellavalle had 3 hits and Jeep Davis 2 hits for the Renegades.

Bob Johnson (double), Paul Oleyar, John Sergas and John Suntato each had 2 hits and Dick Schuessler a double in support of WP Bill Kaufman.

 

May 28th Game Results:

John Suntato (triple) and Paul Oleyar each had 3 hits; Jim Mendick (triple), Dick Schuessler (double), John Sergas (double), Al Avello (double), Bob Johnson and WP Ray Given each had 2 hits.  Bob Haugstatter had 3 hits, while Al Lombardo and Herb Spair each had 2 hits for WWC.

Bob Rodgers (double) had 3 hits; Jeep Davis (double), Fred Raccosta (double) and WP Ed Huett each had 3 hits.

 

May 26th Game Results:

World Wide Creations 10, Buccaneers 4

Al Lombardo 4 hits, Bob Haugstatter (double) each had 3 hits, while Ron Chiorello and Bob Gotwald (double) had 2 hits in support of WP Hoyt Ellis.  Carl Fario and John Curran had 3 hits and Tony Mamie and Richie Zengolewicz 2 hits for the Bucs.

 

Puss N' Boots 28, Renegades 8

15 run Mercy Rule:  Herman Mitchell (hit for the cycle), Dick Schuessler (2 doubles), John Sergas (triple), John Suntato (doube/triple) and Bob Johnson each had 4 hits, while Al Avello (triple/double) had 3 hits as Puss N' Boots tied the Renegades for 1st place.

 

May 21st Game Results:

After an argument on an interference play at 2nd base, WWC forfeited game during the 8th inning.

Herman Mitchell (double), Paul Oleyar (double), Jim Mendick and Buck Smitzer each had 3 hits in support of WP Ray Given.  Jack Dolan (triple), Al Lombardo and Don Walsh each had 3 hits for WWC.

 

Renegades 16, Buccaneers 8

Carl Marshall (double) had 4 hits: Jeep Davis (double), Fred Raccosta and WP Ron Elliott each had 3 hits for the 1st place Renegades.  Rich Wagner had 3 hits for the Bucs.

 

May 14th Game Results:

Ron Chiorello 5 for 5 (triple and double), Jack Dolan and Al Lombardo each had 3 hits in support of WP Hoyt Ellis.  Fran Schweiss 4 for 4, Jerry Fishman and Ricky Zengolewicz each had 3 hits for the Buccaneers.

WP Ron Elliott (triple & double) & Jeep Davis each had 3 hits, Skeets Hensor (triple) 2 hits and Bill Minder HR. Ray Giberson had a HR for Puss N' Boots.

 

May 12th Game Results:

Jeep Davis (double), Skeets Hensor, Bob Turner, Fred Raccosta and WP Ron Elliott each 2 hits for the Renegades.  Bob Haugstattter (triple) 4 hits, Ron Chiorello (double), Don Walsh (double) each 3 hits; Frank Zielinski (double), Bob Nami, Hoyt Ellis & Bill Baker each 2 hits for WWC.

WWC scored 5 runs in 6th inning.  Cliff Ellis 2 hits including triple and WP Hoyt Ellis 2 hits including double.  Jack Dolan, Bob Haugstatter, Bob Nami, Doug Clark and Bill Baker each had 2 hits for WWC.  Bob Turner 2 hits including a triple and Charles Lauble and Barry Molle each had 2 hits for the Renegades.

 

Puss & Boots 7, Buccaneers 5

Herman Mitchell 2 hits including a Triple, 2 hits each Buck Smitzer, Dick Schuessler and Ray Given in support of WP Bill Kaufman.  Tony Mamie and Lou Angelucci each had 3 hits and Carl Fario Bob DuPreau and Arvie Powell each had 2 hits for the Buccaneers.

 

April 28th Game Results:

Dick Schuessler 3 hits including 2 HR's, Herman Mitchell 3 hits including HR, Bob Johnson 3 hits including triple, 2 hits each John Suntato, Buck Smitzer, Ray Given & Father Ted Mozes in support of WP Bill Kaufman.  Jack Dolan & Cliff Ellis hit HR's and Hoyt Ellis a triple for the World Wide Creations.

WP Ron Elliott had 2 hits for the Renegades.  Richard Wagner had 3 hits, 2 hits each Arvie Powell and Tony Mimie for the Buccaneers.
