Middlesex County 60+ Meeting Minutes

January 18, 2012

The following is a summary of the meeting minutes for the Over 60 softball meeting held on 1/18/2012:

1 - Please open up the files attached and read the Old Bridge permits, rules etc

2 - Received  some managers addresses as requested by the OB permit process

Still need the following addresses

Herb Slovis

Leon Maluchaik

Dominic Sorrentino

Ira Roth

Tom Rinaldi

3 - Vinny reported 9 new players are interested in joining the league.

We need about 14 players to reach the desired # of 16-17 per team for a 7 team league

4 - Flyers advertising the league were passed around and everyone was requested to post

them around town

Hutch - to contact Cablevision about posting league on TV

Steve - To contact Surburban newspaper

5 - Will find out cost to insure Tuesday ( 6 teams), Wednesday (4 teams) and Thursday

(7 teams) from SSA and advise - Bob

6 - Need to contact Erin regarding Philips field - Bob

7 - New rule - All players must run for themselves from the batters box to first

base (no pinch runners allowed). Except, if both managers agree to suspend

the rule due to special circumstances

8 - Players can still be pinch run for (when on base) - The designated runner can only be

used one time per inning

9 - The next meeting will be held at Denny’s on Thursday March 8^th at 7pm open for all

players to attend The next meeting will be held at the OB library on Thursday March

22^nd at 7pm and open for all players to attend.

10 - Passed out proposed schedule - Will register 3 fields from April 12 - November 1 2012 - see schedule attached - Bob
