The following is a summary of the meeting minutes for the Over 60 softball meeting held on 3/22/2012:
1 - The Executive board was re-elected to another term by a unanimous voice vote.
2 - Another mini draft was conducted to complete the assignment of players to the various teams. See the attachment above to review the team rosters.
3 - It was agreed that any player who is a member of the team but will only play in case of a shortage of players will not be charged a fee of $50
4 - Restated the position earlier agreed to that all players must run from the batters box to first base before a pinch runner may replace him. Exception allowed if the two managers can agree to waive this rule before the start of the game.
5 - Please advise all players that the membership fee of $50/man is due by May 1 to our league treasurer Steve.
6 - Nine dozen softballs have been purchased and will be distributed by Steve at the start of the season
7 - Bob Hutcheon has agreed to provide Plaza Chiropractic a home plate for their use during the season.
8 - Please refer the attachment showing the team rosters and the team liability form (see tabs on bottom of spreadsheet). It is the responsibility of each manager to have their team players signoff that they agree to the terms of the agreement prior to starting the season
9 - It should be noted that our President will be on an extended vacation from April 1 through July 1. During his absence, our VP Don Brown will be covering his duties.
10 - Tom Jackson will advise on how the team schedule is posted on the township web page.
