MINUTES TO MANAGERS MEETING
Steve Leonardo remains President/Treasurer of the League and
George Helmstetter remains League Secretary.
By majority vote it was decided to divide the League into
2 groups to increase competiveness. The top 4 teams will be the first group and
bottom 4 teams the second group. Subsequent voting led to the naming of
Division I as first group and Division II as second group. Initially each team
would play divisional foes 4x and other division opponents 2x depending on field’s
availability.
Umpires were discussed with ASA/USA group being
considered along with Lennys
group. Subsequent post meeting voting led to Lennys group being retained .Lenny can be reached at (609) 213-1168.
Membership in the NJSSA was discussed. Farlan Alusik is the director of
the State Tournament and made a presentation to the group on entering the State
Tournament. Farlan can be reached at falusik33nj@yahoo.com for further
details.
Playoff format schedule was submitted and approved.
Yellow balls were obtained for season play along with the
remaining white balls , and were distributed following
the meeting .
Ed Snyder assisted the League in obtaining an EIN number
for banking purposes.
DUES HAVE BEEN REDUCED TO $ 600. PER TEAM AND IS DUE BY JUNE 1.

The following additions were made to our League
rules:
WHEN
THE BATTER HAS LESS THAN 2 STRIKES ON HIM AND A FOUL TIP IS CAUGHT BY THE
CATCHER, THE HEIGHT OF THE FOUL IS THE DETERMINING FACTOR. IF THE FOUL TIP GOES
OVER THE BATTERS HEAD, THIS IS RULED AS A FOUL OUT AND THE BATTER IS OUT. A
FOUL TIP NOT OVER THE BATTERS HEAD IS A FOUL TIP AND A STRIKE BUT NOT AN OUT.
A BASERUNNER CAN HAVE NO PHYSICAL CONTACT WITH ANYONE FROM HIS TEAM, WHILE THE BALL IS IN PLAY. IF CONTACT IS MADE THE BASERUNNER SHALL BE RULED OUT.
A
PLAYER MUST PARTICIPATE IN AT LEAST 5 REGULAR SEASON GAMES, TO BE ELIGIBLE TO
PLAY FOR HIS TEAM IN THE PLAYOFFS.
