Roma Bank 13,  Puss N' Boots 2 (Formerly Norm's Team)

Nelson Tobolsky 3 hits including a double and Bob Nami 2 hits including a Grand Slam in support of WP Hoyt Ellis.  Pete Kellen, Bob Drapeau and Ben Craig each had 2 hits for Puss N' Boots.  At the end of the game, Puss N' Boots protested the game claiming some of the Roma Bank players used an illegal steel bat.

 

Protest Ruling:

Senior softball rulebook denotes: "You cannot protest bats AFTER the game.  The protest MUST be made either when the player is hitting or immediately after the player using the bat in question gets a hit.  Protest MUST be lodged before the 1st pitch to the NEXT batter.  After the 1st pitch you CANNOT protest.”  Based upon the above, Puss N' Boots protest of game with Roma Bank was denied by Commissioner Ed Long.  All bats should be inspected before the game begins.

World Wide Creations was leading Renegades 4 –1 after 4 innings when thunderstorm halted play.  The game will be finished when they play again on Sept. 25th.

Buccaneers vs. Puss N' Boots (Formerly known as Norm's Team) was postponed after 2 1/2 innings due to a thunderstorm.
