MINUTES OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

January 13, 2018

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  Now that the holidays are over, our thoughts turn to warmer weather and the 2018 softball season.  Therefore, our next Board of Directors meeting will be held on Wednesday January 17th at the Randolph Diner starting at 9:30 a.m.  The focus of this meeting will be scheduling for the 2018 season.  Frank Shapiro and his committee cannot begin the scheduling process until a few issues are resolved and they are:

1.  Approval of a sixth team for the Slocum Division

2.  Is the Slocum Division going to play on Tuesdays or Thursdays?

3.  What players will play in the Slocum Division on Tuesdays or Thursdays?

  Please survey your teams again to answer the above questions?

4.  What impact will the prospect of Slocum Division play on Thursday will have on

Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday teams?

5.  Will the League need to be re-aligned based on the number teams in the A and B

Divisions noting the Yogi's Boys situation?

These and possibly other questions will arise on this subject once deliberations start during the meeting.

Other agenda items will include:

1.  Treasurer's report

2.  Preliminary Rules Committee Report.

3.  Tournament Committee Report.

The meeting will hopefully end at 11:30.
