Douglas VW 16 Thirsty Turtle 1
The Douglas VW crew opened the season with a 16-1 win over a game Thirsty Turtle team.  Leading the offense was Lou Rivera who collected 3 hits including 2 home runs and a double.  Also contributing 3 hits were Carmelo Garcia, Farlan Alusik, Mike Hoffmann and Hector Munoz. Rich Gaul picked up the win on the hill.  
Angry Joe’s/Tad Pools 19 AJ Jersey 10
In a close game through the first 5 innings (10 to 7), Angry Joes/Tad Pools plated 6 runs in the 6th inning to take a comfortable lead and go onto win 19 to 10. Tom Korzenski HR, Vinny Rappa, Tim Mulhall and Gregg Griffen led the attack with 4 hits each. The rest of the team added another dozen hits. Pitcher Joe Kilburg held the AJ Jersey bats silent in 4 innings.
Phenomenal Boyz 9 Rocky’s Bar & Grill 11
The Barmen welcomed the great weather to start the 2024 season off with a victory. Both teams had the early season jitters on defense with a few errors, but Rocky’s jumped out to a 4-0 start in the first inning, and never looked back. The offense was led by Matt Walsh 3 for 3 (3RBI’s), Mike Valicky and Frank Mastrocola, both 2 for 2, while Greg Solomon, Craig Michaud (3B), Rick Knierim and Dennis Maluchnik all went 2 for 3. Laquan Gray and Craig Michaud added strong defensive plays for Rocky’s to seal the victory.
