The Roofers
started slowed but picked it up to go ahead for good in the 4th inning. The
Roofers were led by Anthony Santorelli and Sal Martino with three hits each
and Pat Nigro, Don Miller, Art Paradise, John Rachko, Bruce Evans and Willie
Jackson had two hits each. Something very unusual happened in
this game where every put out That Deegan made was in the infield; none of
the put outs were in the outfield. For Rocky's at the plate Carl Herman,
Angelo Puerari, James Massarelli and John Llano had 3 hits each. |

The bats for the
Vets were alive as they pounded out 29 hits. Leading the way were Ralph
Genova 2-3 (HR), Greg Hartnett 3-3 (HR, 3 runs) and Glenn Sytko 3-3 (3-Run
HR). Also contributing were newly acquired Bill Daniels and Rocky Pencinger
with 3 hits each. Seven others had 2 hits apiece. Congratulations to
Billy Daniels on his first W on the mound. In the loss, Angry Joe’s
did turn a triple play! |

Swan Hotel 20, Awnings Galore 10 |

Doug Fischer was
back on the hill for Swan Hotel at Brookside Park to lead the Swannies to a
20-10 victory over Awnings Galore. At the plate Brian Latham, Marty Marks, John Garced, Doug Fischer,
Bernie Maguire, Danny Difedele, and Tom Baldowski all contributed three hits
each to the Swan offense. For the Shadsters, Bruce Crawford got on base
3 times with a single and two walks while John Campanella contributed a 2-run
triple to assist in Awnings’ 4-run 2nd inning. |

Using balanced
hitting throughout the lineup and solid pitching from Jim Donaghue the
Linwood Boys topped Yogi’s Boys 22-14. |

|

Swan Hotel
defeated Kenilworth VFW 24-11 at Warinanco Park. Jimmy Jimenez took the mound
for the Hotel and also led the offense with a perfect 3 for 3 night.
Also contributing three hits each for the Swannies were Nick Russo, James
Nardello (HR, 3B), Danny Difedele, and Doug Fischer. |

In a tight game
the Linwood Boys outlasted AJ Jersey 14-9. Joe Sarica, Eddie Rodriquez and
Chris Kaminski propelled the top of the Linwood lineup with 3 hits
apiece. |

Awnings Galore 23, Yogi’s Boys 5 |

In a sundrenched
Memorial #2 field, Awnings Galore secured their 1st win of the season over
Yogis Boys 23-5. For the Shadesters, Rich Traub (3 RBIs) and pitcher Tommy
Pasko (4 RBIs) led the way both going 3 for 4 with a homer and a
triple. Tom Straniero went 3 for 3 with a homer and 4 RBIs. Bruce
Crawford added 3 hits. Two hits a piece were recorded by Paul Newton, Rick
Demsey (2B), Richie Polonitza and Tom Beninato, while a homer by John
Campanella (3 RBIs) and a double by Dave Kirsch rounded out the Awnings
offense. |

Art Paradise had 4
hits and John Rachko, Don Miller, Lou Balistriere, Anthony Santorelli, and
Walt Korzeb all had three hits each to lead the Deegan Roofers to a 21-10
victory over Angry Joe’s. For Angry Joe’s, Brian McDermott and Scott Graham
were 3-3, while Tom Rutkowski had 2 Hits and Ed Quinn blasted a HR. |
