Clyde R. Vail Jr.

Clyde R. Vail Jr., 58, of Roselle Park passed away on Friday, May 14, 2010, in Overlook Hospital in Summit.

 

Born in Elizabeth, Mr. Vail lived his whole life in Roselle Park. He was a service manager for Edison Heating & Cooling in Edison for five years and prior to that he worked for the Elizabethtown Gas Company.  Mr. Vail was a member, engineer, lieutenant and captain for 30 years of the Roselle Park Fire Department "Central Engine Company."  He was a member of the New Jersey Fireman's Exempt Association, and a life member for New Jersey Fireman's Association.  He was a coach for Pop Warner football and a coach for Roselle Park Little League.  Mr. Vail was a member and past president of the West End Community Center and a member of the Union County Over 35 50 Club softball team.  He was predeceased by his father, Clyde R. Vail Sr., and two brothers, Craig and Kevin Vail. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Stevens Vail; his children, Emily Rose and C. Robert Vail, Tara, Kimberly and Rachael Vida; his mother, Muriel E. Hahn Vail, and his sisters and brothers, Carol Yanchok, Keith Vail, Cheryl Schenk and Kirk Vail.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services on Thursday, May 20, 2010, in the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 400 Faitoute Ave., Roselle Park, at 10 a.m. Please be at the funeral home at 8:45 a.m. Interment is in Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth. Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
