David D. Meads Jr.

 

David D. Meads Jr., 80 of Monroe Twp. died Saturday September 28th at his home. Born in Newark, Mr. Meads lived in Cedar Grove before moving to Monroe Twp. in 1967. He was employed as a truck driver for 8 years by the Southern Container Corp., South Brunswick, retiring in 2002. Previously he drove for Mahon's Express, Newark for 25 years and Sampson Steel, S. Brunswick. Mr. Meads was an Army veteran during the Korean War.

He was predeceased by his wife Mary Ann (Venskus) Meads in 1997. Surviving are his three daughters and sons-in-law Kathryn and Richard Repoli of Marlboro, Linda and Wayne Modzelewski of Monroe Twp., and Marianne and Thomas Taylor of Jamesburg, his son David D. III and his wife Diane of Santa Rosa, CA and thirteen grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Saturday October 5th at 3 p.m. at the Lester Memorial Home 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg. Cremation will be private.
